Guest Speaker

Last night we had a guest speaker for our meeting. Alyssa Nyeholt, a former KSRA officer, who graduated last year came to speak to us about her first year of teaching and her interview process. She had tons of great tips for us. Below I have a link to her powerpoint in case you want to go back to it for reference in the future, or if you weren't able to make the meeting last night. Our next and final meeting will be December 2nd at 5. We will be discussing anchor charts, and the future officers will be presenting on virtual vacations. We will be having snacks and each officer is creating a raffle that everyone who comes will be able to put their name in for! You do not want to miss out!

Leveling Texts and Blogging

At this week's meeting we discussed leveling texts and blogging! Miranda and Logan shared an awesome powerpoint filled with ideas for leveling your classroom library and how to level texts. For the second half of the night we focused on blogging and why it is a good idea to start a blog now in your teaching career!
